In Cumberland, Maine, a septic system is the one part of your property you never want to think about — which means it has to be installed right the first time. We install new and replacement septic systems for homes and camps across the Cumberland area, working from your licensed site evaluator's design through excavation, tank and leach field installation, and final grading. When we leave, the system is inspected, the paperwork is done and the yard looks like a yard again.

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I need a soil test or design before you can install?

Yes — Maine requires a licensed site evaluator to design the system (the HHE-200 form). If you do not have one yet, we can point you to evaluators we work with regularly and handle everything after the design is in hand.

How long does a septic install take?

Most installs run two to five days on site depending on the system type, ledge and access. We schedule around weather and inspections so the job moves straight through once we open the ground.

Will my yard be torn up afterward?

Excavation is disruptive by nature, but we finish the job — final grading, loam and seed over the disturbed area. By the next season most owners cannot point to where the field went in.

How much does a septic system cost in Maine?

Typical new or replacement systems in this area run $10,000–$25,000. The HHE-200 design, soil, ledge and tank size set the number. We quote from your site evaluator's plan so there are no allowances hiding in the price.

Do you handle the town permits?

We coordinate inspections and work to the approved design. Permit fees and the site evaluator are usually on the owner; we will tell you exactly what we file and what you file.
